He carried them everywhere he went in a leather monogrammed bag, which accompanied him to countless late-night talk show appearances and live performances at venues like Radio City Music Hall and Las Vegas casinos. On the way to his final heart surgery, Dangerfield threw a pair of slippers in this bag, along with a stack of jokes, two pens, and extra paper.
